Enjoy the incredible beauty of Cape York and Northern Australia with Off Road Adventure Safaris.

These trips into the Australian Outback are primarily journeys of discovery that will take you back in time tens of thousands of years, into areas of Cape York and northern Auatralia where you can experience sights, sounds and scenery that can be found no where else on earth.

BEGINNING at the historic settlement of Cooktown, Cape York Peninsular is a vast area of unexplored wilderness, magnificent National Parks, sacred Aboriginal sites, unexplored rain forest, rugged mountains and beautiful wetlands. Cape York is a land of climatic extremes where the creeks run dry or 10 feet high.

So if you love bush walking, four wheel driving, wildlife, fishing, bird watching or camping then Cape York is the place for you. Located at the northern-most tip of Australia, Cape York Peninsular is a wild and sparsely populated area that is only accessible through the dry months of April to December.

ImageA holiday to Cape York can be an amazing experience, something that you will remember forever. So come and discover this ancient and beautiful land with us! Learn about Aboriginal culture, customs & their traditional way of life. Visit ancient art sites and shelters that reveal more than 40,000 years of Aboriginal occupation. View beautiful waterfalls, rugged gorges, swim in crystal clear rock pools, and photograph unique scenery and wildlife while enjoying the experience from remote bush camping  sites or comfortable wilderness lodges.

The Cape's most well known visitor was Captain Cook in 1770 when he repaired his ship on the Endeavour River where Cook town stands today. Later, significant influences began with Kennedy's 1848 expedition to be followed by the Jardine family who established the outpost of Somerset in the 1860's. However, it was the discovery of gold at the Palmer River that brought significant population and the establishment of Cook town in 1873. In the years that followed, the Cape York Telegraph, pastoralism, World War II, bauxite mining at Weipa and the emerging tourism industry have all added their intriguing stories to the region. With an Off Road Adventure's tour the focus is not just on sightseeing, but you will learn all about Cape Yorks Aboriginal and European history.
