Situated only 45 minutes from Australia’s northern-most point – Cape York, Loyalty Beach Campground offers travellers the ideal location to pitch their base camp as they explore the Northern Peninsula Area.  The campground boasts over 500 metres of grassed beachfront camping, with clean amenities, laundry facilities, and a fully stocked kiosk.  Gas, Ice, and EFTPOS facilities are available with MasterCard, Visa, and Bankcard being accepted.  Power is available and Pets under supervision are welcome.

Loyalty Beach Fishing Lodge is situated at the northern end of the grounds and overlooks the magical waters of the Torres Strait.  Contained within are 10 donga-style rooms with double or single beds, air conditioning, and bar fridges.  Communal amenities and laundry facilities are available for lodge guests’ exclusive use, along with tea and coffee facilities.

Meals are prepared by an on-site chef and are served in the lodge’s licensed courtyard – the perfect place to enjoy a meal, a few drinks, and the spectacular Torres Strait sunsets.

A self-contained two-story Beach House is also available for both passing guests and corporate bookings.  The house sleeps up to six people, with all linen and catering equipment supplied, and there is plenty of room to unroll a swag if extra bedding is required.

Bookings can be arranged for a variety or tours and activities. Loyalty Beach can organise your Thursday Island and Horn Island tours, scenic helicopter flights, guided fishing charters, hire boats, croc-spotting cruises, or simply provide you with some local information and directions.

Why not climb aboard one of the guided 4WD Cape York Day Tours.  Stand on the northern-most point of Australia, visit historical Somerset Beach and Lockerbie, discover WW2 plane wrecks, view the Cape’s endemic species of flora and fauna, learn about the Cape’s history and people, and top it all off with lunch in a wilderness locale.

All-inclusive fly-in fishing and sightseeing adventure packages are available, or a package can be arranged to suit the individual.

Visit Loyalty Beach’s website, or give them a call to make the most of your trip to Cape York.
